Biotin Injections
Biotin injections are a form of supplementation that involves the administration of biotin, also known as vitamin B7 or vitamin H, through an injection. Biotin is a water-soluble vitamin that plays a crucial role in various bodily functions, including:
- Metabolism
- Cell growth
- The production of fatty acids and amino acids
- Maintaining healthy hair, skin, and nails.
Symptoms of a Biotin deficiency vary from person to person but can include dry/flaky skin, brittle hair and nails, hair loss, sleep difficulties, depression and fatigue.
Biotin injections are typically used when a person has a deficiency or is unable to absorb biotin effectively through oral supplements.
Biotin is injected deep into a muscle in your arm and are very effective at raising blood levels. A loading dose of 1 injection every 2-3 days over 2 weeks is recommended then a maintenance dose of 1 injection every 4-6 weeks.
