Chemical Peel
Do Chemical Peels hurt?
Chemical peels can be mildly uncomfortable, but they are generally not considered painful. The sensation experienced during a chemical peel is often described as a mild stinging or burning sensation, similar to the feeling of a sunburn. However, the level of discomfort can vary depending on factors such as the type of peel used, the concentration of the peel, and the individual’s skin type and sensitivity.
What is the downtime for this treatment?
The downtime after a chemical peel can vary depending on the concentration of the peel, and the individual’s skin type and sensitivity. In general, most people experience minimal downtime after a chemical peel, and they can usually resume their normal activities immediately after the procedure. However, some people may experience mild redness, swelling, purging or peeling at the treatment site, which can last for a few days to a week.
How long will it take to see results?
In general, most people start to see improvements in their skin’s appearance within a few days to a few weeks after a chemical peel. However, it’s important to note that the results of a chemical peel are gradual and progressive, and optimal results are typically seen after a series of treatments. We recommend 3-6 treatments every 4-6 weeks.
